Limerance have been together since 2016 and play a blend of acoustic, Americana and folk music. Limerance have been praised for their performance style, original music and unique harmonies – with comparisons to Simon and Garfunkel and First Aid Kit.
Jenny Coyle and Calum Gilligan met in Liverpool’s busy music scene whilst they were both playing as solo performers at Johnny Sands’ ‘Out of the Bedroom’ open mic at Leaf on Bold Street. Following this, the pair became close friends and music has accompanied their journey.
Limerance have an excellent reputation for live performance; unmistakable chemistry, joke attempts (usually Jenny), light-hearted chatter and engagement with audiences.
During the past 4 years, they have gained experiences performing at prestigious venues such as The Philharmonic Hall (Liverpool), The Atkinson Theatre (Southport) and Broadcast (Glasgow). Limerance have played regularly at local/national festivals such as Threshold Festival, SoundCity, Gorjys Secrets, FOCUS Wales, Chester Live, Liverpool’s River Festival and Folk Festival on the Dock.
Limerance’s first EP ‘In the First Place’ was launched in 2017 and their second EP ‘A World of Possibility’ will be released on 24/12/2020.
Their two most recent singles, ‘Not In My Name’ and ‘Along for the Ride’ are also available on all streaming/music purchasing platforms.
